Designing with Modular Refrigeration: Trends Shaping the Modern Kitchen

Kitchens have evolved significantly over time, and so has the role of refrigeration in the home; a variety of factors are contributing to this change. This course explores the social, economic, and demographic trends that are reshaping kitchen spaces. It also discusses the latest kitchen design trends and highlights modular refrigeration as a key design element in creating functional spaces that reflect the changing dynamics of modern households.

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

Outline the impact of social, economic, and demographic trends on kitchen design.
Discuss how the needs of all homeowners can be met by modular refrigeration solutions, including ADA-compliant units that enhance kitchen accessibility for individuals of all abilities.
Explain how modular refrigeration supports the principles of universal design, improving the safety and functionality of kitchen environments for individuals of all ages.
Describe the types of modular refrigeration units available, their point-of-use integration into a space, and their advantages that enhance efficiency and streamline workflow.
