This course reviews the plumbing codes and standards that govern plumbing fittings and fixtures.

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

  • Describe the regulatory system for plumbing.
  • Describe the difference between a code and a standard.
  • Summarize the requirements of NSF 61 and NSF 372.
  • Explain the purpose of plumbing product certification.
  • Identify fittings intended for potable drinking water and those that are exempt.
