Polyiso –Manufacturing Process and Use In Building Design

An introduction to the history, manufacturing, and use of Polyisocyanurate Insulation in Commercial and Residential Construction and address how these products can contribute to energy efficiency, fire safety, sustainability, and a healthier indoor environment.

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

  • Provide a basic understanding of Polyiso Insulation – its history – how it’s made.
  • Discuss the benefits of using Polyiso continuous insulation in complying with the requirements of the code, and review its physical properties, including fire resistance.
  • Examine details and applications of Polyiso products relative to an architectural design.
  • Learn what “Sustainability” means how it can be measured, and the contribution Polyiso can provide.
