This course covers the basics of cellular PVC for moulding and trim. It shows the learner the anatomy of window surrounds made of cellular PVC, how to install and maintain the material, and finally architectural moulding and trim mistakes to avoid.

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

• Describe how cellular PVC is made and used for exterior architecture and the virtually maintenance-free upkeep required for long-life applications.
• Discuss the advantages of using cellular PVC as moulding and trim on a home, including its durability and resistance to stains, rot, and insects.
• Examine how to use preset systems of various profiles of mouldings and trim to create or greatly enhance the language of architectural styles
• Discuss how to install, maintain, and paint cellular PVC mouldings and trim
• List some common design mistakes in the use of architectural mouldings and trim and explain how to avoid them.
