The Impact of PoE and Automated Shading

Discussing the potential of automated shading as a tool and element to enhance designs, - how it's done; why do it; and what it meaningfully does to improve occupant experiences and building efficiencies - equally for work, learning, hospitality, and healthcare – to make built environments more sustainable, efficient and profitable.

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

  • Describe how automated daylight management enhances occupant experiences and well-being.
  • Design automated shading to meet prerequisites and credits of both LEED® and WELL standards.
  • Identify the components and capabilities of solar tracking technologies that enhance building efficiency.
  • Explain how UPoE, a meaningful emerging platform for building operational technologies (OT), can be employed to meet sustainable objectives and enhance the performance of people and workplaces.

Approximately 1 hour. Delivered via webinar or face-to-face presentation. Available sessions shown below.
