How Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Helps Solve Data Center Challenges

The critical role of data centers in our digitally interconnected world cannot be overstated. Designing and constructing these facilities requires a unique set of skills to ensure security, reliability, efficiency, scalability, and sustainability. This course is specifically focused on exploring the exterior design requirements of data centers and examining how fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) products can significantly contribute to more efficient facility construction, seamless maintenance, and long-term operational savings.

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

  • Summarize the purpose and types of data centers and the role of key stakeholders who ensure data centers perform safely, efficiently, and reliably through planning, and construction
  • Recall data center construction phases, design considerations, and how FRP helps architects, engineers, and construction professionals address data center challenges, such as scalability, construction speed and cost, safety, and sustainability
  • Discuss the benefits of FRP, including durability, low maintenance, high strength-to-weight ratio, electrical and thermal nonconductivity, and resistance to corrosion, slips, impact, fire, UV damage, and fatigue
  • Explain how FRP contributes to design and build requirements and utilize case studies to demonstrate how FRP ensures safety and durability in data centers.

Approximately 1 hour. Delivered via webinar or face-to-face presentation. Available sessions shown below.
